Florian Constanty, PhD
POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW
Florian joined our lab in January 2023 and is the recipient of an Inter-Institutional Postdoctoral fellowship from the Innovation Campus Heidelberg Mannheim Health and Life Sciences. He will pursue a joint project between our lab and the Wu Lab in Mannheim to understand the cardiomyocyte regenerative niche.
Alina Bektimirova, M.S.
PHD STUDENT
Alina successfully acquired a DAAD fellowship and joined our lab in October 2023 to pursue her doctoral work. Alina is currently optimizing systems to investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms of cardiomyocyte invasion.
Srishti Shekhar, M.S.
PHD STUDENT
Srishti joined our lab in November 2022 and is elucidating the role of AP-1 transcription factors in regulating the chromatin landscape in response to cardiac injury.
Bailin Wu, M.S.
PHD STUDENT
Bailin joined our lab in November 2022 and is investigating the importance of cell:cell interactions at the border zone of regenerating zebrafish hearts.
Sara Schumann
TECHNICAL ASSISTANT
Sara joined our lab in October 2022 and is working towards understanding mechanisms of cardiac repair and regeneration.
Lucia Blasco Almodovar
TRAINEE
Lucia joined our lab for her practical training year from the University of Exeter (UK) and is working on genetic tools to study adult cardiac regeneration.
